Another Acquisition On The Books of M247

In a deal that has secured the future of a number of Manchester jobs, M247 is proud to reveal that we have recently acquired Axamba Limited, another Internet company whose speciality is IT consultancy and Internet solutions for businesses.

Established in 1999, Axamba also owned the well-known and respected Web Tapestry brand which offers web hosting and broadband. The acquisition, for an undisclosed figure, followed protracted negotiations that centred around ensuring that existing Axamba customers would be satisfied and would experience little or no change in billing or technical support.

David Buckle, Managing Director of M247 said “This acquisition is a very positive step for both companies. M247 is expanding all the time, especially in our business offerings and Axamba, combined with Web Tapestry fits well into our future plans.

Ian Harris, former owner of Axamba and his staff, now operates from the M247 offices and his technical support team are still dealing with customers as normal but are now significantly reinforced by the considerable weight and expertise of the M247 support team. The main difference is that now additional funding and security is available to ensure that customers get quality of service. M247 has acquired a number of similar companies in the past and currently operates various divisions that provide hosting, connectivity, data security and server co-location. A rebranding process is underway in the company where these “divisions” will each eventually be brought under the M247 banner and offered as a clear and persuasive mix of products to suit business ranging from large private enterprises and the public sector down to small home offices.
