Improvements to Customer Communications

Although in reality it’s rare for catastrophic faults to affect Internet Infrastructure, no matter how diligently Internet Providers such as ourselves work towards 100% network reliability, occasionally things go wrong that are beyond our control. It’s been known for brand new and thoroughly tested hardware to fail a short time after being installed and even with stand-by redundant hardware at the ready, it takes time to get things up and running once again to an optimum level. This is the reality of an industry that is heavily reliant on a hardware and fibre infrastructure.

Should such an event befall any of the systems here at M247 our teams work tirelessly to put things right as quickly as possible and we recognise that our customers have a business critical need to be kept abreast of progress. That’s why we have recently developed an off network status site to post updates to. Updates to this site will be automatically posted to twitter @m247status and it will also be used to deliver email updates to all customers affected.

By improving communications in this way we are confident that customers will be able to see what progress is being made but our support telephone lines and email helpdesk will always be there to answer more specific technical queries.
