Manchester-headquartered Internet infrastructure provider M247 is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of leading Web Hosting business eHosting. The all-cash deal will see M247 take over ongoing Web Hosting service agreements for around 10,000 websites and allows the existing owner of eHosting to pursue and focus on their other business interests, following a period of transition.
This is the tenth acquisition for M247 over the past 10 years and represents a continuation of the company’s strategy of consolidating the UK’s highly fragmented web hosting market. eHosting customers can look forward to enjoying the benefits of M247’s extensive experience, large 24-hour support team and industry-leading infrastructure as well as access to the wide range of additional M247 products and services.
M247 Managing Director, David Buckle, says ‘I’m delighted to welcome eHosting customers and staff to the M247 family. The team at M247 are looking forward to getting to know them and are already standing by to continue providing the very highest levels of customer support that they’ve come to expect from eHosting.’
Since 1997 eHosting has been providing internet hosting services to clients from a wide diversity of sectors - with clients from all around the world enjoying their customer led, ethical approach to doing business. eHosting CEO, Neil Barnfather MBE, is stepping aside but all existing Wythenshawe-based staff are being retained and relocated to M247’s Trafford Park headquarters and will join the M247 team.
M247 is a leading provider of Internet infrastructure services in Europe and operates three state-of-the-art datacentres on Trafford Park in Manchester and Bucharest as well as an extensive high-capacity European backbone network spanning Manchester, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris, Prague, Budapest and Bucharest. M247 is a fast growing privately owned company run by the original founding directors. The company has over 10 years’ experience of designing, deploying and managing complex Web Hosting platforms for some of the world’s largest websites.
